Bluetree adds Epic Community Connect veteran to Executive Leadership team
MADISON, Wis. – Bluetree, a fast-growing Epic consulting and strategy solutions company for healthcare providers, is thrilled to announce the addition of Lisa Johnson to its Executive Leadership team. Johnson, a former IS Manager and Program Director for Affiliated Provider Solutions at Legacy Health System, started with Bluetree last week.
“Organizations today are always going to welcome experts who can navigate the complexities of M&A, Epic Community Connect, and other strategic initiatives,” said Wayne Achterberg, Bluetree’s VP of Solutions. “I think we hit the sweet spot with Lisa and our clients can’t wait to tap her expertise in creative ways.”
With more than 15 years of healthcare operations and IS leadership experience, Johnson regularly presented at Epic’s UGM and the Epic Connect Council. She was elected to an Epic Community Connect Advisory Board seat in 2018 and most recently served as the principal leader of Legacy Health System’s Community Connect program. She implemented Epic’s ambulatory and inpatient applications at affiliate hospitals and clinics while helping Legacy become one of the first three programs nationwide to attain Epic Connect certification based on their quality implementation strategy and successful deployments.
“It’s a fun and exciting time to be in this line of work and I hope my experience brings some fresh perspectives to Bluetree’s client base,” said Johnson. “I can’t wait to begin and work alongside the amazing talent we have here at Bluetree.”
Johnson also facilitated and managed a $10 billion master facility plan at Legacy that included rebuilding, updating, and adding new structures to support new services, additional growth, and future expectations. She began her career as a student rounding at Cedars Sinai and The Lactation Institute while pursuing her master’s degree in Human Development.
A Portland, OR resident, Johnson fills her free time with hiking, kayaking, and working out. She enjoys cheering on her boys at their sporting events when not helping organizations navigate today’s changing landscape.
